I believe the timing of when we arrive and depart this world are anything but random. Each life is a silken, resilient, and sacred thead woven as part of the eternal web of human existence. We are interconnected within God’s great cosmic weave.
Each lifetime impacts history and herstory in untold ways. When physical life ends, there is a ripple effect throughout the web. The rippling is the aftershock of Love. Enduring and everlasting love remains and continues to inform, sustain, and deliver blessings through our memories of the beloved.
Last week, through grace and the mystery of God’s timing, two friends and I were present with our spiritual sister while her beloved partner, a dear friend, reentered the world of Spirit. In the middle of the night the room was crowded with the presence of ancestral spirits and angels and their promises of peace. Time changed form to offer a momentary alteration of reality while the invisible portal leading to eternity opened for an instant.
Our sister’s body released her soul. Her laboring and suffering of recent days ceased. With one final exhale she became pure light and unbridled energy.
At her bedside, in that sacred moment, we felt the rippling of the web. We experienced the visceral and holy aftershock of Love.
As a witness of Harriet’s passing I take away two simple truths.
Love is all there is…and what we perceive is the end…is actually only the beginning.
